Morepork Games is a small studio based in Carterton, New Zealand. Founded by Cory Spooner in April 2015, the studio aims to create fun, quality games that "fill in the gaps".

The studio is named "Morepork" after a native New Zealand Owl that is in abundance around the studio. The owl gets its name from its night song, which sounds like it's calling out for "more pork!".

The Team

Hi, my name is Cory and I am currently the sole developer at Morepork Games. I have been working with video games since 2000, and have shipped commercial titles such as Bioshock Infinite (Technical Artist), Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (Senior Technical Artist), The Bureau: XCOM Declassified (Level Artist), Jackass: The Game (Designer), Speed Racer (Designer) and Gripshift (Designer).

I have always had a passion for all things creative. There are a million ideas in my head, and the studio allows me to get some of them out and give people enjoyment in the process.

I hope to be able to create games and other things for people to experience as long as I possibly can.
